A website,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.onlineenglishguru\/\">www.onlineenglishguru<\/a>. com recently launched by Parixit Sambari, director of the recruiting agency, Kamaxi Recruitment and Trading Pvt Ltd aims to change this by helping everyone who wants to learn to communicate in English fluently. \u201c India is the second largest English speaking country in the world and since our company caters to blue collar workers, there were many candidates who were turned down due to the language.<\/p>\n<p>Most of them had passed higher secondary school but hesitated to speak English,\u201d said Parixit. \u201c In Asia, there is a high demand for English speaking candidates but very large shortage for candidates.<\/p>\n<p>It was my dream to start a website to help these candidates. It is now a complete circle, from training to recruiting.\u201d Language is a means of communication but it is important to get the right message across before it gets lost in translation.<\/p>\n<p>The website provides three programs based on the needs of the person. \u201c We have a 15 day Fast Track Spoken English Program for advanced students who want to build their confidence by fluently speaking English, 60 days General Spoken English Program where students begins from the basics and 15 days Business English Program for people in the trade who want to perfect their language for official correspondence and conferences,\u201d said Parixit.<\/p>\n<p>Before candidates can commence any of these programmes a trial class is conducted to know what kind of infrastructure they can use and to advise them on which program they should opt for. There is an interactive session with the English expert and then based on the assessment, one- on- one training is provided using simple and user friendly technologies namely Skype and WebEx.<\/p>\n<p>Another plus point for this program is that the students ( which are not just based in Goa or India but also in non English speaking countries like South Korea, Japan and Middle East), are given a log in and password and have every session recorded, in case they want to go back and revise.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018 The programs aim at not just employment oriented students but also housewives and professionals who want to boost their confidence and status by speaking in fluent English at social gatherings and conferences.<\/p>\n<p>We are literally turning a classroom into a chat room,\u201d said Parixit.<\/p>\n<p>The English experts also require training to teach the language with the modules. \u201c At present, we are recruiting Goan teachers only so that there is employment for Goans. We are looking at hiring more tutors in the upcoming months and home based individuals like teachers, housewives, retired professionals can join the program, said Parixit. \u201c All that is required is at least a higher secondary education and good command over the English language.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, they also need a computer system and broadband connection.\u201d English In a professional setting, there are second chances for those not fluent in English.
